Spicy Chorizo, Bean & Avocado Rice Bowl
Chorizo is one of my favourite ingredients! Unfortunately however, it is not the most nutritious, as it is highly processed. It also contains a higher amount of fat and less protein than chicken or fish. In moderation though, there is no harm in including it in your diet, so long as you balance it out with plenty of other nutritious ingredients. It partners really well with beans, like in this recipe, which boosts your protein intake. The addition of avocado helps to give the meal a creamy texture and counteracts the spicy kick from the chorizo and the chilli. It is one of those throw together meals that doesn’t take long and is great for after a hard training day as it requires minimal effort.
